My ideal first date would be to meet informally in a casual setting such as a local park, shopping mall, or coffee shop where we could talk, have a bite to eat, be ourselves, and get to know each other better. There would be little pressure for us to try and be something we are not. We would not have any unrealistic expectations about each other. We would have time to decide whether we wanted to extend the date and do something else together, plan for another date together and meet again later on, or respectfully decide to decline any further involvement between us and go our separate ways.

A Weekend afternoon for a casual lunch and drinks. It might be a Brew Pub or casual eatery. We can enjoy a nice lunch and good conversation. A time to find out about each other and see if it will lead to anything further.
